Anti Slavery Policy

WIL-LEC GRP LTD T/A WIL-LEC GROUP MODERN SLAVERY & HUMAN TRAFFICKING POLICY

POLICY STATEMENT

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. The Wil-Lec Group (“Wil-Lec”) is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all its business dealings. This includes our core services of Electrical Contracting, Solar/Battery Installation, EV Charging, Heating, and Plumbing. We acknowledge that specific modern slavery risks exist within the global supply chains of renewable energy components (specifically solar PV and battery storage). We are committed to assessing these risks and ensuring transparency in our approach to tackling exploitation, consistent with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Responsibility for the Policy

The Board of Directors has overall responsibility for this policy. The Managing Director has primary responsibility for implementing this policy and monitoring its effectiveness. Management at all levels is responsible for ensuring those reporting to them understand the red flags of modern slavery.

Compliance and Reporting

The prevention, detection, and reporting of modern slavery is the responsibility of everyone working for Wil-Lec.

  • Internal Reporting: If you suspect a breach, you must notify the Managing Director or use our Whistleblowing Procedure.
  • Support: We will acknowledge any good-faith report within 30 days and guarantee that no employee will suffer detrimental treatment for raising a concern.
  • Supplier Standards: We maintain a zero-tolerance approach. We include specific anti-slavery clauses in our contracts for all major projects, particularly in our Solar and EV divisions.

Communication and Awareness

This policy is part of our induction process. Regular training is provided to ensure staff can identify "red flags" (e.g., workers who do not have access to their own passports or are being paid into shared bank accounts).
