Surge in demand for fast Electric Vehicle (EV) charger installations

Wil-Lec Group Limited has seen a surge in demand for fast EV charging point installations for both commercial and domestic customers as the OLEV grant deadline draws to an end on March 31st 2022*.

Despite the government grant ending shortly the dedicated EV charging point installation team at Wil-Lec Group Limited are busier than ever with bookings being taken for months beyond the deadline, as fleet owners and drivers rush to change from diesel/petrol vehicles to electric vehicles. From January 2022 to March 2022 Wil-Lec installed more EV charging points than all previous year’s installations combined.

Our dedicated EV charger install team have installed charging points for some of the area’s local organisations including McCann Transport, Myenergi , Navigo and Yara UK as well as many homes.

Steve Wilson Wil-Lec Group Limited Managing Director said “We expect demand for electric vehicles escalating rapidly as diesel/petrol prices become ever more volatile, resulting in increased demand for fast EV charging point installations.

We anticipate organisations with large vehicle fleets requiring even more charging capacity not only to reduce their carbon footprint but to take advantage of the significant savings running EV vehicles allows. With many larger organisations requiring multiple EV charger installations on their sites Wil-Lec Group Limited has the expertise and experience to install all fleet EV charging requirements.”

Formed in 1997 and celebrating 25 years in business Wil-Lec Group Limited is the area’s leading independent fast EV charging point installers. Approved by OZEV to install Type 1 universal and Type 2 universal charging points with power ratings up to 22kw. All our EV charging points are warranted up to three years with yearly support packages also available.
